Over the weekend, Jennifer Lopez joined the list of artists that have performed with Taylor Swift on her "Red" tour, following stars like Tegan and Sara, Ellie Goulding, Nelly and "X Factor UK" alum Cher Lloyd, the Huffington Post reported.
On Saturday, J.Lo went on stage at Staples Center in Los Angeles to sing her 2002 hit, "Jenny from the Block", a song that Swift described as her "hairbrush song" because she used to sing it with a hairbrush as a microphone, according to the Post.
Following the performance, Swift took to Twitter to share her excitement with her fans. "Sang Jenny From the Block with @JLo tonight at Staples Center. STILL FANGIRLING OUT ABOUT IT," she wrote.
López shared a photo of the two on her Instagram account showing both stars posing backstage. "Thank you for inviting my family to be a part of yours @taylorswift13!!! #RedTourLA," López captioned the picture, adding, "@taylorswift13 had so much fun with you tonight!!! #RedTourLA #jennyfromtheblock #hairbrushsongs."
On Friday, Swift performed the song "Anything Could Happen" with U.K. artist Ellie Goulding. During the week, the 23-year-old singer shared the stage with "X Factor" star Cher Lloyd when the pair performed Lloyd's hit "Want You Back." Artists like Ed Sheran and Casey James are said to join Swift for the rest of the U.S. portion of the tour, Primetime reported.
The award-winning multi-platinum singer's tour ends Dec. 14. She still has several shows including dates across Canada, other U.S. states before heading to Australia, where she is set to perform in Perth and Melbourne.
Earlier this month, López was reportedly closing a deal to return as a judge on "American Idol" for next year's season, according to Fox News. Her boyfriend, Casper Smart, may have confirmed Hollywood's worst kept secret. During an interview with E! Online, Smart was asked if the Puerto Rican singer was coming back to the popular TV show as a judge for Season 13, and he said "Yes."
López served as a judge during Seasons 10 and 11, alongside Aerosmith's singer Steven Tyler and legendary judge Randy Jackson. Vulture reported that an "insider" said the singer's deal with FOX "is not closed yet." According to Vulture, Casper may have thought the network had already made the announcement.
According Us Weekly, Keith Urban has already signed on for another year. "I can't talk too much about it ... I will confirm one thing is Keith [Urban] is gonna return to the show," said FOX chairman Kevin Reilly during the 2013 Summer TCA Press Tour.
The Huffington Post reported Reilly confirmed the "Let's Get Loud" singer was "in talks" to return to "American Idol."
