Photos of the low-cost Apple iPhone have leaked online while one analyst has provided his forecast on the smartphone's price.
China's Weibo featured three images of the alleged low-cost iPhone, which many have coined the iPhone 5C.

The pictures depict a black model for the low-cost smartphone.
Based on the images, the speculation continues that the device will feature a plastic body.
As BGR noted, the images are the first time a black model of the rumored iPhone 5C were revealed as other reports stated the low-cost smartphone would be blue, green, pink, white and yellow.

The leak comes as KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo issued his latest projections on Apple. According to Kuo, via 9to5Mac, the iPhone 5C will be priced between $400 and $500.
As Latinos Post reported, the low-cost iPhone could help Apple signficantly in the smartphone market, notably in China.
According to Morgan Stanley's Katy Huberty, the low-cost iPhone could boost Apple's market share by 13.3 percent in China while Samsung, in return, would drop by 6.7 percent.
CNN Money noted that if Huberty's projections are accurate, then Apple can become the No. 1 smartphone vendor in the world.
In regards to a release date, Japan's Nikkei reported the iPhone 5C could start its initial sales on Friday, Sept. 20. Japan was among the early markets to launch the iPhone 5 along with the United States and the United Kingdom in September 2012.
According to Apple Insider, the low-budget iPhone is expected resemble the iPhone 5, in terms of specifications. The iPhone 5C was forecasted to have a 4-inch screen, front-facing FaceTime camera and a home button. The back of the rumored device will have a rear-facing iSight camera, microphone and singular LED flash.
