France:
"France is one of the countries where Windows Phone does reasonably well and for a long time it was one of the few countries where not Nokia, but HTC had the number one phone," noted AdDuplex. "When we last looked at France 2 months ago the [HTC] 8S was still the number one WP there."
For the figures collected on Aug. 14, the HTC 8S lost its first place position to the Nokia Lumia 520. The Nokia device achieved 27 percent of the market share and maintained a 13 percent lead against the HTC 8S.
The HTC smartphone accounted for 14 percent, narrowly edging the Lumia 920's third place finish of 12 percent.
Rounding up the top five are another pair of Nokia devices. The Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 610 finished the French AdDuplex rankings with fourth and fifth places with 8 percent and 7 percent, respectively.
Two non-Lumia devices ranked in the top 10 in France. The HTC 8X placed eighth with 3 percent and Samsung ATIV S at ninth place with 2 percent.
Spain:
As seen with France, the Lumia 520 also finished first with 27 percent.
Unlike France, the HTC 8S did not chart in AdDuplex's top 10 Windows Phone devices in Spain.
The Lumia 710 placed second with a healthy 20 percent of the share, which is six percent ahead of third place Lumia 800's 14 percent.
The Lumia streak continues, with the Lumia 610 and Lumia 920 rounding the top five, respectively, with 13 percent and 6 percent, each.
Sweden:
Up north in Sweden, the Lumia 920 easily trounced the competition against fellow Nokia Lumia and HTC devices. The Lumia 920 garnered 40 percent of the Windows Phone market share.
The Lumia 800 received 19 percent for a comfortable second place.
The Lumia 620 and Lumia 520 tied for third place with 6 percent each.
Coming in fifth place was the Lumia 900, which shied away from tying the Lumia 520 and Lumia 820, managing 5 percent.
AdDuplex noted, "I don't think we've covered Sweden before, but knowing that Skype for Windows Phone is made there it's only fair to correct that mistake. Lumia 920 has 40 [percent] of the Swedish market. That's probably the biggest share for the [former?] flagship we've seen anywhere. It's also interesting to see ATIV S at number 6, ahead of both HTC models."
The Samsung ATIV S accounted for 4 percent of the market share. Two HTC devices finished in ninth and 10th places.
The HTC 8X had 3 percent, and the HTC 8S got 2 percent of the statistics.
The AdDuplex Windows Phone figures was collected from 1,009 Windows Phone apps running AdDuplex SDK v.2.
