The multifaceted Venezuelan artist Alicia Machado, who was Miss Venezuela in 1995, is ready for the series' premiere of "La Madame" where she will play the lead role as Madame Rochy, the famous Colombian pimp.
According to People en Español, in an interview with Machado, she described this series as a difficult challenge, and she talked about the relationship she built with the character she plays. In order to know more of this character, the artist talked with a journalist from Colombian newspaper El Tiempo who met Rochy.
According to Mexican newspaper El Universo, the series focuses on Rochy, the manager of a brothel that was frequented by politicians and men with high social position in Colombia; part of the script was inspired by the book "Las Prepago", written by Madame Rochy herself.
Machado explained that both her and Rochy's charisma are very similar, so she found a common bond between performer and character: "She's very witty. Madame has always a solution. I am a bit like that. I always try to seek solutions to all situations in life", said the actress. Nonetheless, she also noted she isn't as calculating as Madame Rochy was.
In addition to her return to television, Alicia Machado is launching a lingerie line for "Latin women with curves" as she explained. On the other hand, she recently created a fragrance for men which was released under her personal brand, "Malicia."
"I want to create a perfume that makes me grab this man, kiss him, bite him, and make everything with him at the moment I smell it," said the actress about the scent, according to People website.
"La Madame" series will begin its broadcast on August 26 via Unimás TV.
