Ahead of "Pokémon X and Y's" video game launch, the anime series is starting to conclude its season for the "Black and White" saga.
The anime series airs approximately 100 days ahead of the U.S. airdate on Cartoon Network. With the 100-day advantage, spoilers for the anime series are known far ahead of time.
With the arrival of "Pokémon X and Y," the current anime is still focused on the fifth-generation's activities. However, the "Black and White" era is coming to end in Japan in the next couple weeks.

In a new preview featuring future Pokémon episodes in Japan, Ash Ketchum is seen preparing his final goodbyes to traveling buddies Cilan and Iris.
The video also features a glimpse of a future battle between Iris and her Dragonite against Johto Gym Leader Clair and her recently captured Shiny Druddigon.
Cilan and his Pansage are then seen attacked by a Gyarados. The result saw Cilan's Grass-type Pokémon recovering with the company of Ketchum's former traveling companion, Brock. No word if Misty would also make an appearance since Ketchum, Cilan, and Iris arrive in the Kanto region.

A second preview is then shown of Ketchum in the Kalos region. With new attire, Ketchum and Pikachu are seen with starter Pokémon Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie in battle. The "Pokémon X and Y" anime series is set to debut in Japan on Oct. 17, five days following the worldwide release of the video games.
What does this mean for U.S. fans?
While all the information provided for the preview is set to take place in Japan starting in September, U.S. fans should wait approximately four months after the original airdates. Therefore, Japan's episodes of the concluding fifth-generation could air by January 2014 in America, while the start of the "Pokémon X and Y" series might air in February.
The February U.S. airdate is likely as it has been the month to debut previous seasons such as "Pokémon: Black and White," "Pokémon: BW: Rival Destinies," and most recently "Pokémon: BW: Adventures in Unova."
Meanwhile, a demo for the "Pokémon X and Y" video game was revealed. Click here for more information and video.
