“Dexter” fans are preparing for one of the most difficult farewells of their lives. The series is rapidly coming to a close. After eight incredible and riveting seasons, only four episodes remain. While fans revel in their heartbreak, they’re anxiety builds. How will it end? There’s so much at stake, so many questions left unanswered. While they may have to wait to find out, at least details surrounding the episodes leading up to the finale.
According to TV Guide, the Brain Surgeon’s identity will be revealed very soon, but much like Trinity, he’ll remain one step ahead of Dexter. But don’t let that discourage you. Dexter always finds a way to outwit his adversaries. Meanwhile, Zach won’t be the only person close to Dexter to fall victim to the Surgeon’s doings. Who’s next up on the menu? Dexter’s beloved Hannah.
As the finale approaches, the show’s writers and executive producers sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about the pressures surrounding the series finale. Showrunner Scott Buck told EW that the writers take care of every episode and that the finale is no different. He added that the only pressure they feel “is any that we put up on ourselves.”
Writer/executive producer Manny Coto added that they felt “very comfortable” about where the show was at. EP Sara Colleton said that the writing staff has “known for a long time how we want to end it so we’vebeen able to sit with it, think it through.” She added, “We feel its honest and right for the show.”
