In no time at all, the summer days will be dwindling down into fall. The air will cool, the days will get shorter and holiday preparations will ensue. Some welcome the fall as a blessing, a break from the summer onslaught. Others are devastated to watch their summer freedom slip through their fingers. In order to ease the blow for those already dreading the summers close, there's a silver lining. With fall comes the return of television. Not to say there aren't plenty of worthy programs that air during summer, but most the big guns run through winter, when fans are cooped indoors under blankets and sipping hot cocoa.

One fall series that should keep television fans from succumbing to complete and utter depression this fall is "Arrow." The hit series is preparing for its second season and as details make their way down from the set, it's clear that season 2 will be better than its predecessor.

In preparations for the new season, "Arrow" continues to add to its arsenal of DC superheroes. The newest addition to the cast is Bex Taylor-Klaus from "The Killing." The actress will be joining as the evil villain appropriately named Sin. Sin is a wayward youth who quickly befriends the Black Canary and has ties to Roy Harper. According to TVLine, she will appear in the third and fourth episodes.

And Sin won't be the only new villain to grace season 2. Executive produced Marc Guggenheim recently informed fans that there will be at least two new bad guys to join the cast in the upcoming second season, although he didn't specify who exactly they would be. With the introduction of Isabel Rochev, Sebastian Blood and Bronze Tiger, the possibilities are endless.

"Our two Big Bads of the year, we know what their endgame and master plan is," Guggenheim said. "[They'll both] feel like they're acting from a righteous place. They will cross paths, and there's a Venn diagram in terms of their goals and in the diagram, there is overlap."

"Arrow" will return to The CW October 9.
