According to Nokia, the Lumia Amber update improves the phone's camera, specifically regarding auto focus, noise filter, and low-light photo taking capabilities, to name a few tweaks.
The Nokia Glance Screen returns with the Windows Phone Amber update, which allows the device to show the clock and maintain the speed of the battery. The Glance Screen, however, is not available for the Lumia 520.
Nokia noted the update will affect the Lumia 520, Lumia 521, Lumia 620, Lumia 810, Lumia 820, Lumia 822, Lumia 920 and Lumia 928.
The Amber update is available for the Lumia 521 and Lumia 810 with carrier T-Mobile, while the Lumia 928 update is ready via Verizon Wireless.
The update for the Lumia 520, Lumia 820, and Lumia 920 with AT&T is currently "waiting for approval." Verizon Wireless' Lumia 822 and Aio Wireless' Lumia 620 are also awaiting approval.
The update is expected to come to the Lumia 720, Lumia 925 and Lumia 1020, but its statuses are unknown.
