The Nokia Lumia 1020 launched in China on Aug. 15 with Nokia China's General Manager Erik Bertman leading the presentation.
According to TechinAsia, Bertman and other partners showed the Lumia 1020 Windows Phone 8 smartphone to guests and confirmed the starting price of the device.

The report noted that the unlocked Lumia 1020 will sell in China for RMB 5,999, which is $981 when converted to the U.S. dollar.
TechinAsia reported that the Lumia 1020's price is about the same as the iPhone 5's 32GB model. China Unicom and China Mobile will serve as the Lumia 1020's mobile carriers and will be available at the Suning retail store.
According to Nokia's second quarter financial report, the Finnish-based organization sold 4.1 million Nokia phones across China.
In the U.S., the new Windows Phone 8 smartphone, exclusive for AT&T, has a starting price of $299.99 when signing a two-year contract with the carrier. Amazon.com does offer the Lumia 1020 for $249.99.
The Lumia 1020's features include a 4.5-inch screen with 1,280x768 pixels covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The new Windows Phone 8 device has 32GB of internal storage for 2GB of RAM. The device includes a front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels, and also packs a 2,000mAh battery.
