Sunday's lastest installment of "True Blood," entitled "Dead Meat," was packed with the most blood-drenched drama yet this season. Episode eight of season six featured the mortals and vamps of Bon Temps facing some big decisions. Sookie (Anna Paquin) is thinking about making the biggest decision of her mortal life: to end life as a human and join the legions of un-dead, blood thirsty vampires to satisfy a deal with Warlow.
Sookie was given the ultimatum by her former and current vampire lovers. Bill (Stephen Moyer) told Sookie to release Warlow (Rob Kazinsky) from captivity in order to save the vampires from annihilation. If not, her friends, (Jessica, Eric, Tara, etc.) would face eternal death. Vamp/faerie Warlow then tells Sookie that he will help Bill save his vampire brethren if she agrees to let him turn her into his vampire bride.
Sookie then visits the graves of her parents, who both tried to kill her as a child to prevent her transformation into a vampire. After visiting their graves, she realizes that she would rather be a walking corpse than lay next to her parents for eternity. Sookie calls Bill, who then goes with Warlow to Governor Burrell's "vamp camp" to save the vampires from extermination. Yet, Warlow's blood was sucked by Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), who as furious about the death of his daughter, Nora, from Hepatitis-V. Meanwhile, Sarah Newlin's (Anna Camp) god-fearing insanity reached new heights when she killed Ms. Suzuki in a brutal fight, ending with her bludgeoning Suzuki (Tamlyn Tomita) with a high-heeled shoe.
As the show races toward the season finale with the upcoming penultimate episode, "Life Matters," life will become even more complicated-- and, of course, bloody-- for the characters of "True Blood".
According to Hollywood Take, Warlow still seems to be clinging to life at the end of the eighth episode, ensuring that he will back for the ninth. Eric will come back to camp to seek revenge, and Bill will try to convince Warlow to abandon the faerie plan. Yet, according to HBO's synopsis via Celebrity Laundry, Sookie "is having none of it."
The HBO synopsis also mentioned that the denizens of Bon Temps will remember a "fallen neighbor," while Bill will be pulled in by the seductress Lillith (Jessica Clark).
Will Sookie finally join her vamp friends and abandon her life as a mortal? Will Eric share his sun-walking blood with the vamps locked in the camp's white room? Will the Sheriff be retuning?
Tune in this Sunday on HBO at 9 p.m. to find out what happens next.
