Apple and Microsoft saw gains with their mobile operating systems for the three months ending in June 2013, while Google's Android dipped throughout Great Britain.
According to Kantar Worldpanel, Android's market share fell by one percent for the three months ending in June 2013 in comparison to the same period last year. Android finished in June 2012 with 57.2 percent but accounted for 56.2 percent in June this year in the United Kingdom.

Apple placed second with 25.7 percent behind Android. Unlike the Google mobile platform, iOS saw an increase in its market share by 5.2 percent. iOS jumped from 25.3 percent to 30.5 percent.
Microsoft's Windows Phone also saw its figures improved compared to June 2012. Windows Phone's market share increased by 4.1 percent, enough to elevate the Microsoft mobile operating system to third place. Windows Phone finished June 2013 with 8.6 percent.
Windows Phone's new position in U.K. market share figures dropped BlackBerry to fourth place. BlackBerry, previously third in June 2013 with 10.6 percent, amassed 4.1 percent by the end of June 2013. BlackBerry's new position meant the mobile platform fell by 6.5 percent, the largest drop of the top five operating systems Kantar Worldpanel provided.
Rounding out the top five is Symbian, which finished with 0.1 percent, down 1.6 percent from June 2012.
