Metal Gear Solid 5 is one of the most hotly anticipated yet mysterious games heading to consoles in the near future, and the creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Hideo Kojima, has been very hands on with the creation of the game. He is so hands on that he recently spent some time in a motion capture suit, possibility indicating that the legendary game developer will be included in the game in some capacity.
Kojima took to Twitter showing off the whole process of motion capture, handling a model weapon and seen relaxing in the suit. One of Kojima's employees also snapped a photo of the head of Kojima Productions in the middle of his posing. Kojima did not elaborate on what his role in the game will be, so the possibilities are varied as to what Hideo Kojima's role will be in the game. He could merely be exploring the motion capture process by fulfilling the role of a model for the game to see what it is like. Or maybe Kojima will be a character or the basis of a character in the game, which consists of two different Metal Gear Solid games: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. Another possibility is that Kojima will be part of the game's multiplayer mode, which has yet to be detailed by either Konami or Kojima Productions.
Metal Gear Solid has been making headlines quite steadily in the time since E3 and Konami's pre-E3 Conference. One of the biggest updates to the game is that 24 star Kiefer Sutherland will be voice the game's protagonist Big Boss, replacing David Hayter, who as had a role in the series since the original Metal Gear Solid on the original PlayStation.
Speaking of the original Metal Gear Solid, Kojima has expressed interest in remaking the game with the Fox Engine. However, he is looking for another team to head the remake, and thus far British developer Just Add Water has volunteered to head the project, but nothing has been confirmed.
While it is interesting to see Kojima being involved in some capacity with Metal gear Solid 5, the game still does not have a confirmed release date currently. Hopefully we get more information about the game sooner rather than later, including details on the game's multiplayer mode and overall story.
