Grand Theft Auto 5 is less than seven weeks away from being released, and fans are eager for any and all information Rockstar chooses to release. The game will offer a wide variety of activities, and the series will take a big step up from the excellent Grand Theft Auto 4. Follow along as we round up all the latest Grand Theft Auto 5 news.
One of the biggest stories coming from Rockstar is the release of a dozen new screenshots from the game, showing a variety of activities players can enjoy. Highlights include jumping off a bridge, for base jumping or bungee jumping purposes; Trevor wearing a big grin on his face in a strip club; and a military helicopter being used by the player, hopefully to cause of big budget Hollywood-style chaos in the streets of Los Santos. Rockstar has always done a good job selecting the best screenshots to release to build up hype, and this new wave of screenshots really helps sell the variety of environments and situations available in the game. After all, how amazing would it be to switch between the three characters and get transported into a plane with a burning engine?
In addition to releasing the new screenshots, Rockstar hinted that they will release new details about Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mode. The mode seemingly was put on the backburner in Rockstar's promotions, as the company has focused on showing off the open world of Los Santos, but gamers are clamoring for the chance to learn more about game's multiplayer features.
While not official screenshots for Grand Theft Auto 5, acclaimed artist Patrick Brown has also released new high quality fan art for the game, showing each of the three playable protagonists in vivid detail. The portrait of Trevor, in particular, looks amazing, blazing away with a minigun with a cop car exploding in the background. Brown, who has worked with a variety of video game companies, has a book of original artwork called "The Art of Patrick Brown" available now. He's garnered quite the reputation in both the worlds of art and video games, and his Grand Theft Auto 5 work stands out among the ranks of fan art.
