It feels like former Disney star Miley Cyrus grew up overnight, and morphed into pop culture's latest twerking sensation. So, it's not surprising that the 20-year-old singer's over-the-top "We Can't Stop" music video has set a new Vevo record.

The debut video from the pop tart's latest album has become the fastest video to reach 100 million views across VEVO platforms.

According to a press release, Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" video reached "Certified" status in 37 days after its premiere on June 19. The previous record-holder was Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna, which landed 100 million views in 39 days, reports Billboard.

Directed by Diane Martel, the "We Can't Stop" video earned 10.7 million VEVO views within the first 24 hours of its release. That figure also stood as a record for about a month, until it was trumped last week by One Direction's "Best Song Ever" video, which garnered 10.9 million VEVO watches in its first 24 hours.

"We Can't Stop" also reached a new Hot 100 peak last week by moving 3-2 on the tally. Cyrus previously scored a No. 2 hit on the Hot 100 with "Party in the U.S.A."

Cyrus' fourth studio album, her first for RCA Records, has yet to be titled, but is scheduled to drop this fall.

On Monday, the former "Hannah Montana" star also released the director's cut of her video, which features more twerking and erratic behavior. Watch it below:
