New Orleans native DJ Khaled, record producer, rapper and DJ, who might be known best for his double platinum single "All I Do Is Win," went to MTV Thursday to win again, but this time it was to win the heart of his favorite hustlin' hip-hop honey Nicki Minaj.

According to a report from MTV, Khaled showed up at MTV studios today armed with determination and one big diamond. He dropped a half mil on the radiant cut ring from Rafaello & Co. in Manhattan, in a hopeful bid for Minaj's hand in marriage.

The rapping romeo cued MTV's cameras and once they started rolling he jumped off with a rather long-winded marriage proposal to Nicki.

"I love you, I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine...I'm gonna be honest with you, I want to marry you," Khaled said. "Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?"

He explained to Ms. Minaj that he chose MTV as the venue to pop the question because it's a worldwide network. If that didn't catch her attention, nothing would...and we all know there's nothing Nicki loves more than attention.

Once when defending herself to critics, who referred to her style as "bubblegum rap," Minaj responded "what people don't know is before I was doing that craziness I was doing me, I was just doing regular sounding rap that anyone could hear and identify with. But once I started doing all that weird s**t - I'm not mad at it because it got everybody's attention," according to a report from RealTalkNY.com.

So Nicki, does Khaled now have your attention?

"The reason I'm not telling you this face-to-face is because I understand you're busy...we got the same symptoms, we're both suffering from success," Khaled continued. "You're out there touring, you're out there hustling, you're out there making music and you're out there winning. I understand. That's why you need a man like me in your life."

He went on to explain that he had to show up today to prove how serious he is to Minaj and how serious this proposal is (here's hoping, anyway).

"I would have proposed to you last year at the 'Take It To The Head' video, I wanted to tell you, but you know, things got better for me and I prepared for this day," Khaled said. "I've been working hard to get this ring."

"I want to let your fans know, my fans know, my family, your family, that I want to marry you...Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?" he said as he opened a small box to reveal the rockin engagement ring. The proposal video closed out with the words "Your move, Nicki."

While the question Khaled popped was big, the even bigger question is what's Nicki going to do now?

Philly.com points out that Minaj has never publicly dated anybody since she stepped into the spotlight. So the question on everyone's mind right now has got to be: is this just one big publicity stunt or have Khaled and Minaj been creepin' behind closed doors and now about to make it official?

Not only does Khaled have us waiting on the answer to that question, but he also has the whole world waiting on his new album "Suffering From Success," which hits stores on Sept. 24.

Whether Nicki's there or not for the album debut, big things are brewing for this audacious lyricist.
