Mexico will take on Panama in the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal on Wednesday.

The match will be the second between the two sides in this tournament. In the opening game, Panama embarrassed Mexico 2-1 and eventually won Group A with seven points.

The Mexicans entered the tournament with a great deal of controversy and have yet to look like the efficient scoring machine that many expected them to be. In four matches, the team has only scored seven goals.

"No, it's just another game," Mexican coach Jose de la Torre said about whether revenge played a factor in the match against Panama. "It's our objective to qualify for the next round. It's really easy: we win, we move on to the next round."

"They are not going to see the same Mexico that played in the first round," Mexico forward Rafael Márquez Lugo added. "It's going to be a very different game. For us, it is the same (as the win over Trinidad) because it will be very tough, but I think we have a lot of possibilities if we continue growing as we are doing game by game."

"It's going to be different," Mexico defender Miguel Layún seconded. "We have had a few more games to get to know ourselves and work with our teammates. We had a really short time to prepare for this tournament. I think that's going to be the difference. I think we're getting better over the past few days. It's going to be a really interesting game, I think."

Prediction: Mexico has yet to put up a convincing effort. Regardless, it impossible to see them lose this one: 2-1 Mexico.
