The title to the Superman/Batman film could potentially be "Batman vs. Superman."
According to SlashFilm, Warner Bros. owns several URLs that contain the word "vs." The site reported that the company owns both SupermanVsBatman.com and BatmanVsSuperman.com. Additionally, Warner Bros. also owns BatmanVsSupermanMovie.com, but not SupermanVsBatmanMovie.com.
Writer David Goyer also spoke about the title at the Superman 75th anniversary panel at Comic-Con where he said, "We aren't sure if the title will be Batman Vs Superman or Superman Vs Batman, but they will face off."
Zack Snyder will direct the upcoming film with Henry Cavil reprising his role as Superman and Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane returning from "Man of Steel." Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas will serve as Executive producers while Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder will serve as producers.
Warner Bros. has not announced who will play Batman, as many speculate if Christian Bale will return after stating he would move on. However, rumor has it that Joseph Gordon-Levitt could play the role in the movie, due to the hints dropped at the end of "The Dark Knight Rises."
Snyder recently directed the Superman reboot "Man of Steel," which received mixed reviews, but scored over $283 million at the domestic box office and $621 million worldwide. The film also starred Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon, and Kevin Costner.
The last Batman movie was released in 2012 and was titled "The Dark Knight Rises." The movie went on to make $448 million domestically and made $1.084 billion worldwide. The film starred Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
