Samuel L. Jackson revealed that he does not know anything about the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII" film.
While promoting "Captain America: The Winter's Soldier" at Comic-Con, Jackson was asked about the upcoming "Star Wars" film. While describing George Lucas' recent wedding, he explained he has no idea what's going on with the new film. "J.J. [Abrams] was there, I was there. I was like [raises eyebrows] and he was like [noncommittal shrug], and he just went about his business. I don't know what that means," said Jackson.
He continued, "Harrison [Ford] was there too, and he was like [shrug]. I just think it would be cool to have some of us that people relate to as being part of the 'Star Wars' franchise to give entire to the new characters that they're going to bring to whatever the new thing is. It kind of makes it an easier entrance."
Jackson recently revealed his desire to return to the franchise. During the Graham Norton show, Jackson said, "I want to be in 'Star Wars' Now to. J.J's Star Wars..." When asked how they would bring a dead character to life, he said "I mean, come on. Jedi fall from incredible heights and a lot of them have lived with one hand... I think I could handle it."
"Star Wars Episode VII" is currently in pre-production with J.J Abrams set to direct the film and Kathleen Kennedy producing. The film is currently in the casting stages with rumors citing that Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill will reprise their roles from the original trilogy.
Disney is expected to announced more details on the project in August during their annual D23 expo. Sources stated that part of the cast will be revealed. However, Disney has yet to confirm anything. Instead they are waiting to surprise fans.
"Star Wars Episode VII" is set for release in 2015.
