Shailene Woodley admitted that she asked Jennifer Lawrence for advice on "Divergent."

During the Comic-Con panel for her new movie "Divergent," Woddley admitted that she was not sure about taking the lead role in the series. As a result, she asked Lawrence how she approached "The Hunger Games" and how it had changed her life. Woddley said, "I have still yet to meet Jennifer in the flesh, but I had a slight interaction with her where I asked her about 'Hunger Games' and what it was like, and her life and how much it has changed. It was nice asking someone who has been through the process and is kind of seasoned in the young-adult franchise. She gave me really beautiful advice and said that I should definitely take it."

Woodley continued, "It will be the best thing that ever happened. But don't be an idiot, do a sex tape, or do drugs. And go to Whole foods when your movie opens."

Woodley also had the chance to speak about her recent departure from "The Amazing Spider-Man."

"Mary Jane was in four scenes - four scenes in the whole film, and it didn't make sense. They're introducing so many new characters; it really didn't make sense to introduce such a vital character to the comic books in a movie that had so much else going on, so they're holding off for future films," she explained.

She noted that the scenes she shot are unlikely to make an appearance in this film or in a future installment. "Well, it wouldn't make sense, there's no screenplay for it, by the time they shoot it it'll be so many years from now, but it's not a bad thing, [people look at it] like a negative thing, but it wasn't and I think it was a very smart move on Sony's behalf."

"Divergent" recently completed production and is currently in post-production. The new movie will also star Kate Winslet, Theo James, Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Maggie Q, Ashley Judd, and Ray Stevenson. Summit will release the first installment to the franchise on March 21, 2014.
