All good things must come to an end. It's hard to say goodbye, but it's important to look back on the good times with a warm heart. It's bittersweet. You don't want to let go yet you know the future is bright. Everything will be all right. A goodbye is something you just have to cope with, as fans of the hit series "Psych" are well aware.
Nothing is official, however, the upcoming eighth season of "Psych" could be its last. Regardless, it's shaping up to be one of the most memorable and uproarious seasons to date.
According to TVLine, series creator Steve Franks and stars James Roday and Dule Hill spoke during their Comic-Con appearance about season 8. During the interview, they confirmed that the show is heading to London for a "Harry Potter" inspired episode, but with a twist. One, they aren't literally going to be in London, and two, the "Psych" take on "Harry Potter" will feature a "Guy Richie gangster," says Franks.
"We're doing a London based episode which is the perfect mashup of Guy Richie gangster film and Harry Potter, which are two things like chocolate and peanut butter that needed to go together," Franks said.
When asked about the legitimacy of the London set, Franks joked that their budget wasn't nearly high enough, which resulted in the use of green screens and other odd tactics to create a better London feel.
"We got one London cab to drive around the back. We turned the traffic around one time on a one way street," he said.
"We do have a nice assortment of British actors though with real accents," added Roday. "The real deal."
"Psych" will return with its faux London, Guy Richie/Harry Potter episode in its eighth and possibly last season, set to air December 15.
