Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International have announced its upcoming Pokémon will launch for the Wii U system, and it isn't "Pokémon X and Y."
"Pokémon Rumble U" has been confirmed to be available via Nintendo's eShop starting Aug. 29. The new game will also utilize Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
The premise of the new game features "Toy Pokémon" lost long a riverbank following a mishap with its delivery. The Pokémon, in toy form, have to embark and battle their way back to the Toy Pokémon Shop.

The game allows up to four people to play at once since "Pokémon Rumble U" offers multiplayer battles.
Via the Wii U GamePad, "Pokémon Rumble U" NFC Figures will be available through participating GameStop retail stores. Players will be able to link up the figures from GameStop.
"Players can even change moves or add a Special Trait to their NFC Figure so it can be one of their most dependable allies in the game," noted The Pokémon Company International. "The NFC Figure can even save in-game data so you can take it wherever you go."
At least 18 Pokémon NFC Figures have been confirmed, ranging from Pikachu, Deoxys' normal forme, Genesect, Eevee, and Victini. Overall, however, "Pokémon Rumble U" will feature all 649 Pokémon from the latest "Pokémon Black 2" and "Pokémon White 2" series.
The game will be priced at $17.99.
The game's release date will come less than two months before the worldwide release of "Pokémon X and Y" for the Nintendo 3DS.
