Comic Con San Diego 2013 is almost upon us, and fans of comic books, movies, television shows, and video games are all eager watching to see what new reveals and thrills await at the convention, which runs from July 18 to 21. Several video game developers and publishers will be at the event, and we're here to bring you what to look for during the celebration of all aspects of nerd culture.
Ubisoft will have a strong presence at the convention, with several upcoming games getting their own panels at the event. Watch Dogs will have a panel at the event, discussing the realities of hacking and connectivity in the digital world, featuring some of the best real-life security consultants. In addition, new footage of the game will be shown during the panel, which will take place July 20 from 6:00 to 7:00. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will also be at Comic Con, as part of a live demo of the game and Q&A segment featuring the game's lead writer, comic book writer Brendan Fletcher, and legendary comic book artist Todd McFarlane. The panel will take place July 19 at 2:00.
The newest installment in the most critically acclaimed DC Comics video game series of all time, Batman Arkham Origins, will be at Comic Con on July 18 at 1:00. The panel will feature all new footage from the game and new information as well. Representing the game is Creative Director Eric Holmes, as well as Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker, the voice actors for Batman and The Joker, respectively.
Dead Rising 3 will also be at the event, but the Xbox One exclusive may not have much new information for gamers. Instead, Capcom is hosting a special panel called "The Video Game Culture of Zombies - How Dead Rising 3 on Xbox One Kicks Off a New Generation of Mayhem." This panel will feature Max Brooks, the writer of "World War Z," along with Capcom producers, and will take place at 1:30 on July 20. This panel will discuss zombie culture in general, so it will be interesting to see if new Dead Rising 3 footage is shown or if the panel is more academic in nature.
Other games in attendance include the Xbox Exclusive Ryse: Son of Rome, Telltale Game's The Walking Dead, and Saints Row 4. Check back here for all the latest Comic Con 2013 updates throughout the week.
