With a few weeks left until the D23 exposition, "Star Wars" fans continue to create fan posters for the upcoming "Episode VII."
A new poster was revealed which predicted that Mark Hamill's character Luke Skywalker would convert to the Dark Side. At the top of the poster is Hamill who is dressed in a Jedi cape and with glowing eyes as if he was possessed. At the bottom Carrie Fisher's Leia is dressed in queen-like attire similar to Natalie Portman's costumes in the first three episodes. Harrison Ford's Han Solo is on the right side of Fisher while Christoph Waltz is on the left side dressed in Greek-like costumes. The title of the poster reads "Star Wars Episode VII: Legacy of the Sith."
Fans immediately reacted to the poster with many of them condemning the photoshop job and the notion of Luke Skywalker turning to the dark side. One stated, "That's just terrible, I've seen a lot of these fan posters around but this one is the worst yet. Not even worth posting IMO."
Another fan said, " Seriously! This is just cheesy and B rated looking" while another fan wrote, "Luke is never going dark...give up that ridiculous notion."
One even criticized it for having a film by Joss Whedon. "JOSS WHEDON ??you propably havent heard j.j abrams i directing it this poster sucks," he said.
Luke Skywalker turns to the dark side in the expanded universe graphic novel "Dark Empire."
However a number of people endorsed Waltz as a good choice for the film. One fan wrote, "Christopher Waltz would be epic in a Star Wars film" while another posted a heart next to his name.
"Star Wars Episode 7" is in post pre-production with J.J Abrams slated to direct while Kathleen Kennedy is producing. The film is headed to D23 where pundits believe cast will be announced and where plot details will be revealed.
The film will shoot in 2014 and Disney will release it in 2015.
