Every television show has its own niche. Whether it's witty humor, adorable love stories, conniving adversaries or gruesome thrills, it sticks close to its roots. Of course, the line can be blurred. There are series that embrace multiple themes and find their own nuances. Those that do it well are generally successful. However, there are particular shows that are so successful in one focus that any other seems unfitting. AMC's "The Walking Dead" for example creates incredibly enticing scenes of zombie and human combat as well as the inner workings of opposing foes. One aspect that's not as prevalent, although does squeeze its way in from time to time, is romance. It doesn't always fit right. It's difficult to maintain a cute and passionate love story alive during a zombie infested apocalypse. That's why the relationship between Glenn and Maggie came as somewhat as surprise and now new photos indicate that there's plenty more on the horizon.

In season 3, Glenn watched Maggie as The Governor forced her to strip down, naturally leaving a serious toll on his psyche. Then out of nowhere, before the season's close, the pair worked it out and got engaged. Fans are now curious to see how the relationship will flourish in season 4, and according to Entertainment Weekly, things are looking good.

"It's in a really safe place," said Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie on the show.

"They're in a good groove, living as close to what normal life should be," said Steven Yeun, or Glenn. "Whatever you can call that in this world."

During a recent photo shoot, the two proved that their on set relationship is stronger than ever by locking lips off screen. Not only are there photos of the passionate embrace, but there's also a GIF of the two "Walking Dead" stars letting it all out. Check it all out here.

"The Walking Dead" returns to AMC October 13.
