The season four premiere of “Hawaii Five-0” may be weeks away but details about the upcoming season are finally making their way to fans. As earlier reported, the show has tapped “Lost” alum Jorge Garcia for a guest role that will have him sharing screen time with his former “Lost” co-star Daniel Dae Kim.
Well now it seems like the “Lost” reunion is about to add another member. TVLine reported that former “Lost” star Henry Ian Cusick will be appearing on the “Hawaii Five-0” premiere on September 27. According to TVLine’s Matt Webb Mitovich, the Scottish actor will play Ernesto, “a tough, fearless and ruthless member of a terrorist group called the National Liberation Movement.”
Garcia and Cusick aren’t the first “Lost” alums to appear on “Hawaii Five-0.” According to Entertainment Weekly, former “Lost” stars Terry O’Quinn, Tania Raymonde and Reiko Aylesworth have all appeared on the crime show in guest spots.
EW also revealed that a character from the original “Hawaii Five-0” will be resurrected in the season four premiere. Actor Chi McBride will be playing SWAT Captain Lou Grover during the premiere, with the possibility of more appearances further in the season.
Executive producer Peter Lenkov told EW, “It’s always fun to dig back into Five-0 mythology and resurrect a character—and in this case, Chi McBride plays SWAT Captain Lou Grover. Recently transferred to Hawaii from Chicago, Grover isn’t easily sold on Five-0’s tactics, referring to the task force as: ‘McGarrett and his merry band of do-whatever-the-hell-they-want.’”
“What Five-0 does conflicts with Grover’s own style of law enforcement,” Lenkov added. “And that creates good conflict, so prepare for some combustive tension between the two this season.”
The season is already gearing up to be explosive and drama filled.
Tune in to “Hawaii Five-0” when it returns for season four on Friday, September 27 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
