Fans of Fox's popular crime-solving drama "Bones" have been counting down the days until the show's upcoming ninth season. Last season's finale left fans disheartened after Booth (David Boreanaz) was forced by serial murderer Pelant (Andrew Leeds) to end his very brief engagement to Brennan (Emily Deschanel).
New details about the fall premiere have finally made their way out of the writers' room. The latest from TVLine is that the Sept. 16 premiere is titled "The Secrets in the Proposal." Fans have been eagerly waiting to see how Booth and Brennan's relationship has weathered their brief engagement last season.
Executive producer Stephen Nathan elaborated, "We want to continue exploring how Booth and Brennan adjust after their ill-fated proposal and the secret Booth is forced to keep. Secrets will be a theme we keep alive-and dead (we are a murder show after all)-in the episode."
Booth and Brennan have gone through quite a number of obstacles in the relationship and have somehow survived it all. But will the secret behind Booth breaking up their engagement be too much for the couple?
As previously reported, details about the couple may reveal that there's still hope for a Booth-Brennan wedding. TVGuide shared, "But some aid will soon be on the way for the would-be couple. A mysterious ex-priest from Booth's pas resurfaces and not only does he help tie up the little problem of Pelant, but he also assists Booth and Brennan in getting to the next step in their relationship."
Fans of the couple have been waiting patiently for the two to tie the knot and it seems like they finally will.
