With every passing moment, fans are one step closer to reuniting with their favorite vampires. It's been a long summer and it's not even halfway through. That's a long time to be left with the Mystic Falls bloodsuckers. While they're enjoying their time off, fans are left counting down the days until their return. This year the gang will be heading off the college. It's an exciting time not only for them, but for fans as well. The show will explore new horizons. New friends, new enemies, new love, and, well, new everything. We can't wait, but in order to tie us over in the meantime, there are plenty of details from production to help give us a better idea of what's to come.
For starters, TV Line has revealed that the show is casting a male doctor who knows all of Damon's secrets. That's a lot of secrets and it will be interesting to see if, one, he sheds some light on anything we don't already know, two, how Damon will respond, and three, what his connection to Damon is exactly.
As mentioned above, Whitmore College will cater to new love and new hotties for the Mystic Falls vampires, but TV Guide has the inside scoop on what really is going down.
"Elena and Caroline will find college to be much more difficult than they anticipated when they stumble into a class led by a hot, but not-so-nice professor who knows more about Mystic Falls than he's letting on. Does it scare anyone else that his true passion is research that he believes will help humanity?"
It appears that Whitemore College may be a dangerous place for everyone. Now that they will be venturing from their home town, they'll learn that their 'secrets' may not be so well kept at all. With new love and opportunity also comes new dangers. No matter where they run, they can't hide from the drama.
"The Vampire Diaries" will return to The CW on October 10.
