With just a week to go until the big event, Microsoft has revealed its official plans for Comic-Con. The weekend is set to include a number of playable demos on the showfloor, panels, screenings, and an off-site Xbox Lounge.

Microsoft announced that Xbox 360 and Xbox One games will be playable at the Xbox booth (#100) on the main floor. These titles include Killer Instinct and Crytek's Ryse: Son of Rome, two of the games showcased at Microsoft's Xbox One presentation at E3.

On Saturday, their booth will also host appearances from Emily Osment and John Foo of Cleaners and Extraction, two of Crackle's upcoming original series. Stars from the Hulu Original Series The Awesomes, including Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers, will also be signing autographs later that day.

Meanwhile at the Indigo ballroom, Xbox will be sponsoring a screening of The Awesomes at 2 PM. If you can't make it to the screening, an exclusive preview of the show will be available on Xbox Live beginning on Thursday, July 25.

Additionally, Microsoft will be holding a number of panels throughout the weekend.

"Inside the Looking Glass: Building 'Halo' Worlds and Wonders, Past, Present and Future" will take a look at where the Halo universe is heading, including the mobile game Spartan Assault and the new comic book series from Dark Horse. The panelists include Franchise Development Director Frank O'Connor, Executive Producer Dan Ayoub, and other member of the 343 Industries team. Microsoft promises some "mega surprises" at this one. This panel will take place on Thursday, July 18 at 11:45 AM in Room 6BCF.

"Bringing the Roman Empire to Life on Xbox One: The Creation of 'Ryse: Son of Rome'" will feature members of the Crytek team discussing the upcoming Xbox One exclusive, Ryse. The Ryse panel will take place on Thursday, July 18 at 5 PM in Room 7AB.

"The Future of Xbox Gaming Revealed" will of course focus on the Xbox One, and will be moderated by Major Nelson himself. He will be joined by Justin Robey of Microsoft Studio, Dan Greenawalt of Turn 10 Studios, Josh Bridge of Capcom Vancouver, Ken Lobb of Microsoft Studio, and Nick Burton from Rare. The Xbox One panel will take place on Saturday, July 20 at 11:15 AM in Room 6A.

Lastly, "The Video Game Culture of Zombies: How 'Dead Rising 3' on Xbox One Kicks Off a New Generation of Mayhem" will center around the upcoming Xbox exclusive, Dead Rising, including exclusive gameplay reveals. The Capcom Vancouver team will be attending along with special guests Max Brooks, author of World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide, Attack of the Show's Jessica Chobot, and Game Informer Senior Editor Jeff Cork to discuss the development of the game and zombies in general. This panel will take place on Saturday, July 20 at 1:30 PM in Room 5AB.

Off-site, Microsoft will be hosting an "Xbox lounge" at the Manchester Grand Hyatt with playable demos from publishers such as Capcom and 2K.

The convention will take place in San Diego from July 18 to July 21.
