A new Japanese trailer for the next Pokémon movie featuring Mewtwo's new form, as seen in the upcoming "Pokémon X and Y" video games, has been revealed.
The trailer is for the film "Extreme Speed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens" (not the official English translation), which is set to debut in Japan on July 13. The video starts with Mewtwo in his regular form, known since the first generation. Approximately 10 seconds into the trailer, Mewtwo transforms into his new form. The trailer does not specify how or the origin of when the Genetic Pokémon was able to transform.

Mewtwo, as seen in previous trailers for the film, is seen battling five Genesects.
Pokémon fans in Japan, however, don't have to wait long for answers as an anime special will broadcast on TV Tokyo on Thursday featuring Mewtwo. The one-day special airs July 11 and features the anime's champion of the Vertress Conference of Unova's Pokémon League, Virgil. The episode is likely not to feature the main protagonist Ash Ketchum.
A U.S. release date for the anime special or the film have not been disclosed, but a wild estimate would be for late 2013 on Cartoon Network.
The new form of Mewtwo was confirmed to make its video game debut in "Pokémon X and Y," exclusive for the Nintendo 3DS. The game has slowly announced new Pokémon for the franchise's sixth generation. The new game will also introduce a new type for the first time in more than a decade with the Fairy type.
"Pokémon X and Y" will be released in Oct. 12 across Australia, Europe, Japan and North America.
