On July 10, Telemundo will premiere its new telenovela "Marido en Alquiler."

The new series, starring Sonya Smith, Juan Soler and Maritza Rodriguez, tells the story of a working class woman, Griselda, who works as a plumber. She struggles to get her family through but wants the best for her children. Her life changes when she meets Reinaldo, a rich restaurant owner who she falls in love with. However the two will face obstacles from Reinaldo's arrogant and demanding wife Teresa Cristina.

The series marks Soler's return to the soap opera and his first series for Telemundo. He last starred in "Cuando Me Enamoro" with Silvia Navarro for Televisa and "Palabra de Mujer" with Edith Gonzalez. Soler recently revealed that the series is very well scripted and that he had to learn to cook like a chef. He also said that he was happy to work with Rodriguez and Smith because they were wonderful actresses.

Smith said that she was happy with the role because it was helping her grow as a person and as an actress. Meanwhile, Rodriguez said that working Soler was a dream come true. She also said that she was having fun playing a villain once again.

Smith last starred in "Corazon Valiente" and "Aurora" with Eugenio Siller, and Jorge Luis Pilla. She was also seen in "Pecados Ajenos," and "Donde Esta Elisa."

Rodriguez was last seen in "El Rostro de La Venganza," with Saul Lisazo and David Chocarro. She also appeared in "La Casa del Lado," and "Perro Amor" with Carlos Ponce.

"Marido en Alquiler" is based on the Brazilian hit series "Fina Estampa" and also stars Gabriel Coronel, Miguel Varoni, Ricardo Chavez, Pablo Azar, Pablo Quevedo, Roberto Manrique, and Kimberly dos Ramos. The telenovela is set to air at 9pm and will replace hit series "La Patrona."
