Quicksilver's appearance in "X-Men Days" of Future Past has been confirmed by Bryan Singer.

Singer posted a new production picture on Twitter featuring a small house with a mailbox reading Maximoff. This was a clear reference to Quicksilver's real name, Pietro Maximoff and also confirmed that the superhero will be involved in the new film. However the picture did not clarify whether Quicksilver would be featured in the story's 1973 timeline with the crew from "X-Men: First Class" or stuck in the apocalyptic future with the cast from the original "X-Men" trilogy. Evan Peter's will play the hero in the movie.

With the inclusion of this character, fans will wonder if the new movie will also include Quicksilver's sister "Scarlet Witch" and if Singer will deal with the relationship between Quicksilver and his father Magneto. Singer has kept the plot under wraps so time will tell how this character is used.

Peter's can currently be seen in "American Horror Story," "Adult World," "Kick- Ass," and "The Good Doctor." He will next star in "Truck Stop."

Singer last directed "Jack The Giant Slayer," and "Valkyrie." He is best known for starting the "X-Men" franchise and  rebooting "Superman" in 2006. He also directed the highly acclaimed "The Usual Suspects."

The new "X-Men: Days of Future Past" tells the story of the X-Men who must travel in time to change a major historical event that could globally impact man and mutant kind. The film will star James McAvoy, Nicolas Hoult, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, and Peter Dinklage.

20th century Fox will release the new movie on May 23, 2014.
