The season five premiere of NBC's "Parenthood" may be a couple months away but fans continue to search for any bit of information they can find on their favorite characters. While most details of the upcoming season have revolved around Sarah (Lauren Graham) and her love life, news regarding her sister Julia (Erika Christensen) and her husband Joel (Sam Jaeger) made its way out earlier this week.
Now it's younger brother Crosby that's getting some of the attention. According to Entertainment Weekly, the show's time jump will prove crucial in the Braverman-Trussell household. "Expect a pretty big time jump when the show returns for its new season," EW teases. "Just how big? Well, for one, Jasmine and Crosby's bun is no longer in the oven. And let's just say, Crosby, who you'll recall wasn't around for Jabar's baby years, is learning the hard way exactly what he missed."
The new storyline comes at the perfect time for actor Crosby portrayer Dax Shepard , who welcomed his first child with fiancé Kristen Bell in late March. The actor pair has kept a low profile since welcoming daughter Lincoln, according to Us Magazine.
In a late May interview with The Ellen Show, Bell ("Veronica Mars") described Shepard as "the best" dad. She added, "It's like he's made a new best friend. He just talks to her all day and sings to her all day and it's just wonderful."
So it looks like Shepard will adjust just fine in his new role as TV dad.
"Parenthood" will return to NBC on Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST this fall.
