Apple's iPhone 5 has received the distinction of the most criticized handset based on social media networks.
According to figures from We Are Social, one in five posts across social media were negative about the iPhone 5. The negative comments range from the issues from Apple Maps, new Lightning cord, and how it resembles older iPhone models. The comments are based on the device's launch.

We Are Social accounted the iPhone 5's negative posts to 20 percent, two points higher than the criticisms the BlackBerry Z10 received.
The Nokia Lumia 920 ranked third with 15 percent of brand criticism while Samsung Galaxy S4 finished fourth with 11 percent.
Samsung's latest smartphone also appealed to users, in terms of features, as 56 percent of posts were based on what the Galaxy S4 has to offer. The Lumia 920 was next in the features category with 37 percent. The iPhone 5 narrowly beat the BlackBerry Z10 with 29 percent to 27 percent.
Apple, however, can take the title of having the most launch day conversations as 1.7 million posts were accounted for the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5's conversations' figures are impressive compared to the BlackBerry Z10, which placed second with 300,000. The Galaxy S4 finished third with 140,000 while the Lumia 920 fizzled with 45,000 posts.
We Are Social's Senior Analyst Ed Kitchingman stated, via the Daily Mail, "Brands were often on the receiving end of criticism for their handsets offering nothing new to the previous model."
Kitchingman added, "The most successful launches were those that captured the consumer's imagination by talking about the handset's new and innovative features."
