Fans of ABC's magical drama "Once Upon a Time" have been patiently waiting for any details on the upcoming third season. Viewers will not only get a chance to see their favorite characters head off to Neverland but will get a whole new group of characters to cheer on in the show's spinoff series, "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland." Despite the premiere being a while away, details are finally trickling through.
On Tuesday, series co-creator Adam Horowitz revealed the premiere script cover on his Twitter account. The season premiere, which is set to air sometime this fall, is entitled "The Heart of the Truest Believer." According to TVLine, the title could refer to a number of people, including the youngest cast member Henry (Jared Gilmore).
In other OUAT news, TVLine is also reporting that ABC is casting the roles of Peter Pan and Rufio (the teenage leader of the Lost Boys). Rufio is described "as forever youthful, mischievous and harboring a penchant for clever games-but behind his playful façade lurks a petulant child twisted enough to destroy anyone who crosses his path," TVLine wrote.
Although the network is keeping casting news under wraps, it may decide to reveal new cast additions during the San Diego Comic Con later this month. The show is scheduled to appear in a panel during the event on July 20.
Fans will also get to see Robin Hood resurface in the show's third season. However, TVLine reports that the role will be played by a different, uncast actor. Tom Ellis ("Merlin"), who played Robin Hood in the second season, will not return to reprise the role.
The network has yet to release details on the season's premiere date although it is expected to return on Sundays.
