"Call of Duty: Ghosts" is one of the most anticipated games to come out both for the current generation of consoles, as well as the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well.

Activision has announced that those who preorder the game will receive a free downloadable multiplayer map, called "Free Fall," according to Gamespot.

The multiplayer map will take place in a collapsing skyscraper, similar to the collapsing skyscraper seen in the Battlefield 4 multiplayer map shown at E3. This skyscraper in "Call of Duty: Ghosts" will trap players within it, and the map will change as the building begins to degrade and fall in on itself. As Activision describes the map:

"With every drop, shockwaves cause further destruction, altering paths and chokepoints and causing the map to change in real-time,"

This new type of map is what Activision and developer Infinity Ward have their hopes pinned to so that the franchise can continue to thrive on the next generation of consoles. While much of the Call of Duty multiplayer has yet to be revealed (no gameplay footage from that portion of the game has been shown, unlike rival Battlefield 4) this indicates that Infinity Ward is stepping it up and trying to bring a fresh new experience to veterans of the series.

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" was one of the focal points during the Xbox One reveal event in May 21, and had several video highlights during E3. The game figures to have a compelling story and strong gameplay that is focused on more stealth elements then previous entries into the series. In addition, the game will feature Riley, the virtual German shepherd that is part of the player's squad. Riley has taken over the internet and become the most popular addition to the game thus far.

Look out for "Call of Duty: Ghosts" November 5 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game due later in the year.
