"The Walking Dead" wheelhouse continues to turn. Despite its summer hiatus, plenty of details and insight from the behind-the-scenes of season 4 production continue to make their way down to the public sphere. Up to this points, it's clear that season 4 is going to be one of the most action packed, zombie infested seasons yet, and filming isn't even halfway complete. Although interviews with the cast and crew promise a high level of zombie threat, a recently revealed premiere episode title hints otherwise, but perhaps that's the point.
According to TVLine, episode 401 will be titled "30 Days Without an Accident." From the sounds of things, it sounds like the show's characters have found a way a control the zombies.
Doubtful. The title is likely a tease. It's safe to say that the 30-day streak will come to an end come the season 4 premiere. As production began back in May, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the show, tweeted "Episode one is huge. I promise you'll freakout. gonna be SO GOOD."
So how amazing and huge could the premiere episode be without serious zombie action? After all, the show takes place in a free for all flesh eating society. It's called "The Walking Dead." Additionally, by dubbing the first episode "30 Days Without an Accident," the excitement and anticipation leading up to that first zombie bite will be even greater. It's a smart move by the "Walking Dead" crew and one that comes with a hint of irony.
Not only that, but AMC has released the official season 4 banner. It's reminiscent of the banners for previous seasons, however, by the looks of it, there will be throngs upon throngs of zombies. Check it out above.
October is approaching, and so are the walkers."The Walking Dead" returns to AMC on October 13.
