The Walking Dead video game was a huge success for developer Telltale Games with more and more gamers swarming to the game as each new episode was released. With expectations high for the sequel season of episodes, Telltale decided to offer a bit of content to loyal fans in the form of The Walking Dead: 400 Days. Gamespot is reporting that the DLC will be available to select gamers, with more platforms getting the content over the next week or so.

This DLC bonus episode has been released on July 2 on the PlayStation Network, with the DLC being available July 3 at the Telltale Store. Next to receive 400 Days will be the Xbox Live Arcade on July 5, followed by European PlayStation owners July 10. Finally, the iOS version of the game will launch globally on July 11. It should be noted that the original The Walking Dead game is required to play 400 Days, so any gamers that were hoping to sample the series will have to start from episode one instead.

400 Days takes place over, surprisingly enough, 400 days during the same time period of the first game. The game will introduce five new characters into the game, but decisions made over the course of the original game will affect 400 Days. In addition, the decision the players make during 400 Days will affect the sequel as well, meaning players will definitely want to pick up this DLC to get the full Walking Dead experience. The DLC will involve five new characters, and those characters may end up being part of season two as well.

Anyone interested in picking up 400 Days can do so on the PlayStation 3, Vita, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac for $4.99. 400 Days will not be covered by the season pass for the original game.
