An update on the PlayStation blog has gone live, revealing the incoming PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection titles. PlayStation Plus members will soon be able to download Battlefield 3 for free beginning on July 2,  along with two week long "Summer Blast" sales.

In addition to Battlefield 3 (regularly priced at $39.99), a number of other games will also be made available to Plus members. These include Metal Slug XX for the PSP and PS Vita, Jet Set Radio for the PS3, Dokuro for the PS Vita, and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD for the PS3.

Unfortunately, this new batch of games means that the last group will stop being free. The official schedule states that Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be phased out on July 2, Joe Danger 2 The Movie on July 9, The Cave on July 16, Germinator on July 23, and Zero's Escape: Virtue's Last Reward on July 30. Mark your calendars and start downloading soon! Once each of those dates lands, that particular game will go back to being full price again.

If free titles aren't your thing, the PlayStation Network will also be offering a number of deals throughout the month. Discounted games include Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, The Amazing Spider-Man, Batman: Arkham Asylum, The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest, Mortal Kombat PS Vita, Mortal Kombat, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, Shadow Of The Colossus, and the Ratchet & Clank Collection.

The sale is open to anyone with access to the PSN storefront, but PlayStation Plus members will receive an additional discount on top of the marked down prices.

Sony adds that all of these promotions are subject to change, but considering that really never happens, I think we can all look forward to some great gaming experiences in July.
