Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher have been ordered to lose weight for the new "Star Wars Episode 7."
According to a source close to the actors, Hamill and Fisher were assigned personal nutritionists and personal trainers to work with ahead of production. Reports also stated that they wanted the actors to resemble their original incarnations of their characters. The source told The Sun, "Mark and Carrie need to be as close to their appearance in the earlier movies as possible. Producers are keen to help out and have offered support. The budget is huge so there will be no expense spared."
The source also stated that producers had not ordered Harrison Ford the same cares because they were happy with his physique.
Ever since the new Star Wars movie was announced speculation over Fisher, Hamill and Ford's return has hit the web. Fisher opened up about the role back in April where she confirmed her involvement in the film. She stated, "She's in an intergalactic old folks' home. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle."
Hamill also spoke about the film but was a bit more reserved about the prospect of doing the new movie. He admitted, "Saying 'let well enough alone, let everyone keep their nice memories if they have nice memories and don't try to go back and do it again. But the other side of me, the adventurous side, thinks: 'if everyone's in, how could I miss this?'"
Ford has remained very quiet about the project and said "Um, I don't even want to discuss that. It's great. Ain't it great?" when he was interviewed about reprising his role.
"Star Wars Episode 7" will be directed by J,J Abrams and produced by Kathleen Kennedy. Michael Arndt will write the script which will start production in 2014.
