Robot Entertainment is the studio behind games like Orcs Must Die!, Age of Empires Online, and Hero Academy. However, they're not just about making great games, as it turns out, they're also a group of pretty stellar people.
Earlier this year they were contacted by the Make-A-Wish foundation about Wade Sharp, a child who is suffering from Osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. As a huge fan of video games, Wade's wish was to see himself inside of one.
Robot Entertainment stepped up, bringing Wade and his family to their headquarters in Texas. They gave him the tour of facilities, showed him their process for creating new characters, and surprised him with a 3D model of himself that will be appearing in Robot Entertainment's next game.
Wade helped them to put the finishing touches on the character, selecting the colors and the sound design, and also contributing to the character's back story.
