It's summer break in Mystic Falls. The world's favorite vampires kicking back on white sand beaches, soaking in the sun's warm summer rays. They're on break, so they're impervious to the dangers of being vampire. Unfortunately for "Vampire Diaries" fans, this means there are no new episodes to keep their hunger satisfied. They must suffer the summer heat, dwelling on the vampire drama of the past and speculating on what's to come. Although the vampires are taking their time off to enjoy the fruits of their labors and to explore new outlets for their blossoming careers, they still take the time out to appease their fans. In a recent interview with Hollywood Life, Steven R. McQueen, who plays Jeremy on the show, opened up about his complicated relationship with Bonnie (Kat Graham) and how it will play out as the series movies forward.

So what will Jeremy and Bonnie's relationship be like in season 5? "Well, have you seen 'Ghost' with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore? It's going to be exactly like that," McQueen said. "I'm going to mold some clay and it's going to be beautiful."

McQueen remained rather candid throughout the entire interview, playing more than informing. He revealed that it's mostly up to the show's "amazing" writers. "I'm putting all my trust and hope in them to make a good show for us all," he said.

Graham also talked with Wetpaint about Bonnie's death and how it will tie into season 5. "You know, I didn't see it coming," Graham said when asked about her shocking death in season 4. "I was like, there is no way they would do that. Then I read the script, and I was like, 'Oh. They're doing it. And they're leaving it that way.'"

"I'm very excited to go into the new season and see what's in store, and what Julie Plec and Caroline Dries pull off," she said. "They're very creative people. What they come up with in a matter of days is unreal. I'm like, 'Where are you going to go from here?' But I know it's got to be somewhere huge, because they're intense women. They're brilliant blondes."

"The Vampire Diaries" will return to The CW on October 10 at 8/7c.
