There are some combinations in life that are timeless. Peanut and jelly may be the most well known and celebrated, but there are others that are overshadowed by its glory. Television and beer is another seamless combination that makes our lives just a little bit sweeter. It's the end of a long day. Your favorite show is on. It's hot outside, but your air conditioner is cranked. You plop down onto your couch, sink in to its warm embrace, turn on the TV and crack open a beer. It's the simple things in life that get us through the long, vacationless months. Now you can take that blissful moment to the next level.
"Breaking Bad," one of television's most alluring shows, now has its very own beer. Marble Brewery in Albuquerque, New Mexico will brew the beer in tribute to the series and will call it Heisenberg's Dark, an India Black Ale. Heisenberg is Walter White's drug dealing alias in "Breaking Bad" and is one of the darkest, most twisted characters on the show, despite being the initial protagonist, so the dark ale is fitting. The company announced the release on its Instagram.
In the show, the characters have been featured drinking Marble Brewery beer as well as those from the local Santa Fe Brewery.
"Breaking Bad" isn't the first television show to have a beer dedicated to its name. The most recent season of "Game of Thrones" also had a full collection of beers to commemorate its greatness. The first release, called the 'Iron Throne Ale,' has "a robust amount of pils, honey malt, aroma malts and red wheat," with a "full and fluffy" head.
"Breaking Bad" returns to AMC for its final eight episodes on Sunday, August 11. So mark your calendar and grab a case of Heisenberg's Dark to send off the epic series the right way.
