Staying devoted to your favorite band can be like a roller coaster ride. They can leave you broken hearted, they can lift your spirits to the high heavens, and they can frustrate you to the brink of insanity. Fans of Mumford & Sons got a dose of all three over the past several weeks. Luckily, everything now is all on track.
The band announced on Monday that it has rescheduled its shows in Dallas, Woodlands, Texas and New Orleans. They originally canceled the shows, as well as their headlining Bonnaroo appearance, when bassist Ted Dwane received treatment for a blood clot in his brain two weeks back. He is now in great, strong condition and will return to perform with the band for the rescheduled shows.
"All we feel is incredibly grateful and happy that he's going to be OK, and that we're going to get back out on that stage at Glastonbury as four brothers and do what we do," keyboardist Ben Lovett told Radio Times magazine, according to Billboard.
"Firstly, we are pleased to report that our beloved Ted is making a steady recovery from his operation and wearing his newly acquired shaven-headed hairstyle with enviable levels of suave," the band wrote in a statement on their website. "A huge, huge thank you to all for your messages of support; the man himself is rather overwhelmed."
In addition to the rescheduled shows, the band will also perform this upcoming weekend for the U.K.'s Glastonbury Festival.
