More and more details on the upcoming fourth season of "The Vampire Diaries" are trickling down to awaiting fans. In the wake of Jeremy's death at the end of season 4, April stopped showing up at his doorstep. The house did burn down, but still. In a recent interview at the Leica Los Angeles store opening, Grace Phipps, who plays April, spoke with Wetpaint about April's future heading into the next season. Well, she at least shared what she could.

"The show is a very successful show and all of the writers are incredible and I end up knowing really absolutely nothing. The extent to which I am not in the loop is hilarious," Phipps said. "It's such a group of fantastic actors and there are a lot of great actors in this town that you get really blessed to work with and then sometimes there are people that just give you less and it's less fun, you end up with that. But on 'Vampire Diaries' you end up with fantastic actors and everyone you're working with is sharing energy and it's such a rush so I just hope I get to say hi and go work with those people again."

And what does she hope to see happen to her character in season 5?

"I really love being able to play that because I love supernatural stuff; 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' is my favorite show of all time," she said. "The idea of compelling somebody and the lore, it's such a betrayal of trust and I always thought about that just as a human being driving my car in Los Angeles I thought about how it's actually... you're being perpetrated on so much when someone is affecting your memory. Even just working through the character off camera, that sort of betrayal and having to deal with that because her family is dead and everybody that she trusts is betraying her trust. So playing this innocent young girl who comes back to town from a boarding school and then all of the sudden - to not only have to deal with your father's death and to deal with everything you know being gone - to have to deal with everything you thought you knew to be false, was such meaty stuff to get to work through."

Finally, Phipps admitted that she would love to play a vampire in the new season. "I mean, I went to Hot Topic and got the fake vampire teeth for Halloween in middle school. Obviously I want fangs sometime!"

"The Vampire Diaries" will return to The CW in the fall.
