The Chicago Blackhawks will look to clinch their second Stanley Cup in three years when they take on the Bruins in Game 6 on Monday.
Despite trailing 2-1 after three games, the Blackhawks have answered with two straight wins and could win the final game of the season on the road; back when the team won the cup in 2010, the Blackhawks pulled off the feat in Philadelphia against the Flyers.
However, their task will be not be an easy one. Despite losing Game 4 at home, the Bruins have only lost at the TD Garden three times this postseason. Boston lost twice in four tries against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but has only lost once in seven home games since. More importantly, Chicago has won four out of eight games on the road in these playoffs.
The final hurdle for the Blackhawks will be potentially playing without Captain Jonathan Toews. The 2010 Conn Smythe Winner for playoff MVP was injured during Game 5 and did not play for the entirety of the third period.
"I think you look at the situation we're in, we're this close to reaching our goal," Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp said. "Obviously we want Johnny to play, but if he's not [playing], we have to find a way to get it done either way."
The Bruins face a major injury of their own as the status of center Patrice Bergeron remains unknown.
"We've got a group of guys with a lot of character," Bruins forward Brad Marchand said Sunday. "We want to try to win the Cup, and to do that you've got to push to the last second of the last game. We've learned that the hard way, and we just want to try to use that [Monday]."
Prediction: Chicago clinches the cup with a 3-2 victory.
Start Time: 8 PM EST
