"We're seeing increasing interest from our customers and within the consumer electronics industry when it comes to trade-in," Best Buy said in a statement, via ABC News. "Many consumers don't know they can trade in their old stuff and get a gift card to put toward upgrading to the latest and greatest in technology."
In order to obtain the free iPhone 5, customers have to be eligible for an upgrade with carriers AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless. Customers with T-Mobile are not offered the deal. The consumers eligible for the deal will have to pay the activation and tax fees. The iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S devices have to be in good condition as broken or cracked models won't be eligible.
The iPhone 5 features a screen size of 4 inches with 1,136x640 pixels at 326 pixels per inch. The internal storage models come with 1GB of RAM but no microSD card slot. The wireless connectivity for the latest Apple smartphone includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth version 4.0, and USB version 2.0.
