The June update for Microsoft's Surface with Windows RT might not have solved an issue concerning the tablet's wake up.

As seen on Microsoft's Community threads, user T_H_H wrote that the June driver update has not resolved the Surface with Windows RT from waking up after touching the home button.

"I just wanted to report that the driver update for the home button does not seem to have fixed the issue, more often than not, it's still taking 5-10 touches before my RT wakes," wrote T_H_H. "I know the touches are registering via the vibration feedback, they just aren't waking the device."

The Surface with Windows RT owner was recommended to restart the tablet, however, the issue still wasn't fixed.

"I've tried waiting for well over a minute with no success, it doesn't wake without multiple taps. When I press the power button my Surface wakes the majority of the time with the first press, but it's not unusual for it to take a second press," T_H_H added.

As Latinos Post reported, June update for the Surface with Windows RT included an improvement on the Surface Home Button, enhancing the reliability of the device's waking up following the first button press.

The June update for the Surface with Window RT also focused on the Surface Type Cover and Surface Touch Cover. Developments on the ability to toggle function keys, new shortcuts, and keyboard navigation are also integrated with the firmware update.
