The new MacBook Air has reportedly encountered wireless connectivity problems, according to recent buyers.

As seen on Apple's Support Communities, a thread created by vhkim detailed Wi-Fi issues.

"I have a brand new Macbook Air which is able to connect to the Internet for just a minute or two before suddenly it drops out. This is even though the signal still shows at full strength and all my other devices are still able to surf the net as per normal," detailed vhkim, adding the MacBook came straight out of the box and not from a third party.

"I heard that the [Wi-Fi] has been upgraded to 802.11n on this machine, could that be an issue? Do I need to return the machine or is there is a software fix for this problem?" asked vhkim.

Afterwards, additional accounts by new MacBook Air owners were added on the thread.

"I have the same problem with my 2013 MacBook Air 11 inches. Something I never had with my iPad, MacBook, iPod or iPhone," Fred Braches wrote. "The connection drops and the MacBook fails to recognize the signal even close-up. Restart is the only way around it. It does happen once or twice a day."

Aptly named "wifiguru," a solution was provided.

Wifiguru wrote, "Have you checked if your Netgear router has the latest firmware? What model number is it? Your RSSI, Noise, Tx rate etc. look good. One thing you could try is switch to a different channel, say channel 6 and give that a shot."

The new MacBook Air made its debut at the 2013 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) last week along with the confirmation of iOS 7, OS X Mavericks, iTunes Radio, and Mac Pro.
