On June 19 Anna Netrebko and Dimitri Hvorostovsky will team up for a Verdi celebration in Red Square in Moscow.

Hvorostovsky and Netrebko will sing in an open-air concert for an audience of more than 7,500 listeners. The program includes works from Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin," Verdi's "Don Carlo," "Rigoletto," and "Il Trovatore," and Puccini's "Tosca" and will be conducted by American Constantine Orbelian.  The concert will also feature Russia's State Academic Symphony Orchestra "Evgeny Svetlanov" and Academic Grand Choir "Masters of Choral Singing." 

The Russian superstars recently performed "Eugene Onegin" at the Vienna State Opera. They have also performed around the world in many concert venues including Carnegie Hall and at the Metropolitan Opera in Prokofiev's "War and Peace."

Netrebko next performs at the Verbier Festival in the first act of Verdi's "Otello," and later make her role debut in Verdi's "Giovanna D'Arco" at the Salzburg festival. Netrebko will also make her role debut as Leonora in "Il Trovatore" at the Berlin State Opera and her role debut as Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth" at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. In September she will headline the Met's new season in Deborah Warner's production of "Eugene Onegin" alongside Mariusz Kwiecien.

Hvorostovsky will spend the summer singing concerts and recitals. He returns to the opera stage for his role debut as Iago in Verdi's "Otello" in September. He will also perform "Rigoletto" at the Met and Giorgio Germont in Verdi's "La Traviata"at the Royal Opera House. The Russian Baritone will also sing with Latvian Mezzo Soprano Elina Garanca.

The historic concert will be transmitted via Live Stream on Russia's RUTV at 12:30 PM EST. Audiences across France and Germany can enjoy the performance two hours later on ARTE. Four days later on June 23, the concert will be shown during prime time by Germany's ZDFSKY Arts will later broadcast the performance in the United Kingdom in October 2013, with cinecast details to be announced at a later date. Deutsche Grammophon will also release a DVD and Blu-Ray later this year.
