Costa Rica and Panama will battle for positioning in the CONCACAF hexagonal round.

Costa Rica currently trails first-place United States by just two points and is tied for second place with Mexico. However, the Costa Ricans played one game less than their immediate rivals and could create some distance from the remainders of the teams in the group.

Panama is more desperate for points as it currently sits fifth in the CONCACAF standings with six points in five games; they trail Costa Rica by two and could pass them with a victoryon Tuesday. More importantly, Honduras sits between the two sides with seven points and could leap into first place with a victory over the United States on Tuesday.

The top three sides in the CONCACAF automatically qualify for the World Cup finals in Brazil next summer. The fourth place side will have to take on Oceania champion New Zealand in a two-legged battle for a World Cup berth.

These two squads met back on Feb. 6, 2013 in Panama City; Panama jumped out to a 2-0 lead just 27 minutes into the match but Costa Rica responded with two goals to earn a 2-2 draw.

Costa Rica has a record of a two wins, two draws, and one loss while Panama has a record of one victory, three ties, and one defeat; both sides lost against the United States on the road.

Prediction:  The two sides battle to a 1-1 draw.

Start Time: Kick Off begins at 10 PM EST.
